Disney World Tips:


  1. If you have a specific request for your stay on a Disney property, phone or fax the hotel direct and ask to speak to the room controller at least 5 days before you arrive.

  2. For most resorts, check-out time is 11am. But you can ask for it to be exteneded up to 1:00PM for no extra charge.

  3. Request a wake up call. This is a perfect way to start a day, being awoken by none other than Mickey Mouse!

  4. Refrigerators are available for a small fee, but if you only have a small amount to keep cool, use the ice bucket or cooler with ice from the ice machines.

  5. Buy a refillable mug from your hotel. You can refill it for free for the duration of your stay and you get to keep the mug as a souvenier.

  6. Park transportation begins approximately two hours prior to opening time and continues until about two hours after the parks close.

  7. To dine around the Walt Disney World Resort, remember to make a priority seating by calling (407) WDW-Dine (407) 939-3463. Doing this before leaving for the parks will allow for more time in the parks.

  8. If you're staying in a Disney Resort Hotel, your resort ID card allows purchases in the park to be charged to your room.

  9. Visit the Disney World park shops in the early afternoon. Most people choose to wait until closing to go shopping.

  10. If you see something that you want, buy it on the spot. It may be difficult to find it again later or it may possibly sell out.

  11. Keep all receipts. The Disney shops will give a refund on items that don't fit or wasn't exactly what you thought you were buying.

  12. Shopping inside the parks allows you to have your purchases sent to a location near the park enterance for pickup later.

  13. If you are staying on a Disney property, you can have it delivered directly to your room.

  14. Remember that Downtown Disney Market place is open much later than the normal hours for most of the parks.

  15. If you are unable to find something, don't hesitate to ask a Cast Member and they may be able to locate it for you.
